[seventy five]
I like this picture. A lot. I found this Holly Hobbie lunchbox in our old barn. This picture seems to tell a story to me. :)

Listen.
I love this song... it's gorgeous! She reminds me of Martina McBride in her singing style and her voice.

We seem to have snatched a bug from someone; almost all of us have it. When one falls, we all fall! I miraculously haven't caught it yet, but I see my demise not far off ;) The last couple of nights Sylvia (my 5 yr old sister that shares a room with Samantha and me) has woken up just as I was drifting off to hack and cough and cry <:{ This morning I came in our room while she was putting her clothes away, and she had her hand up to her nose and she said, "My noses are leaking!" I laughed so much. She is a funny one. She also doesn't hesitate to give fashion tips to me (or anyone for that matter.) A few days ago I was in my nightpants getting ready for bed, and she goes, "Those pants look weird on you." I smiled and said, "Oh, thanks, Sylvers!" She responded, "That was not a "thanks."" =P
Stepping outside this morning to take this picture reminded me of something I actually do like about winter: the smell of smoke from our fire in the chilly air. I just love that. Don't worry, my list of things I like about winter is still very small. =)

  2. lol I recommend putting one of those little face masks on to prevent the catching of the bug. When I went to China last year EVERYONE had one! It was just about the time of the Swine Flu breakout though, so...
GO WINTER!!!!!!!!!!! It is 'winter' in Florida, and people are going to the beach, so I guess I can't really consider it winter winter.... but still!!!!
Btw, Captain Jack is my name on google. I started a blog a while back, and thats my signature for it.... so..... :) Great blog!!!!

  3. Yay Captain Jack! I like that :) It reminds me of Horatio Hornblower or Captains Courageous. (the latter of which I've never read...) I told my six yr old brother that I was going to lock him in his room until he got better.. he was like, "No, don't do that!" :P I might be able to see why someone in FL might like winter... but I don't like KS winters :) Thanks for commenting!
Lady Amy: Um.. *thsppp* It feels good to do that on the internet, since I can't actually do it... I know, I know, *how* can someone not slubbert? I don't know.. I just can't.
