[quotes]

"Half unconsciously, perhaps, I had been saying, 'Thou and x are enough for me'- one so soon clings to the gift instead of the Giver."
Amy Carmichael

"Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet it's treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee."

"None of them that trust in Me shall be desolate." Psalm 34:22

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you."

[this is my heart]

Why must fear follow me everywhere, like a tiger waiting to pounce and kill?
"Fear not, for I am with you."

Lord, be with me always.
"I shall not leave you or forsake you."

Lord, this hurts so bad.
"My flame shall not hurt thee; I only design/ thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine."

[light at the end of the tunnel]

Times may be dark for some of you. But He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Trains are made to go somewhere, for a purpose. Tunnels are a necessary part of getting there. But they are not the end, and they are not the purpose. In the same way God has made us for purposes, and dark times are necessary parts of achieving that goal. But they are not the purpose and plan God has for your life. They are not unending. And there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, for those who persevere and honor the Lord in the hard times.

"Those who honor me I will honor," 1 Samuel 2:30.

"Keep your life free from love of money, and be
content with what you have, for he has said,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5-6
Today is my sister's 15th birthday!!! She is growing up so quickly, and maturing into a wonderful, beautiful, young lady of God. I'm so proud of her, and I love her so much!!

[snowed in?]

Levi last night with his cookie face. Now *that's* a happy face!
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Sooo... we have snow. And it's still coming down! I'm actually pretty excited. Maybe we'll make a snowman this year after all! And... our electricity has flickered a couple times tonight. Call me crazy, but a power outage sounds kind of fun too. For a while, that is =) I don't have much to say today, but I do have plenty of pictures for you to enjoy!
[one thirty seven] snow longing. 2.1.11 I found Levi perched on the window sill this morning looking longingly out at the snow. =) So cute!

"I know that it's wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny!" ~The Cat in the Hat

Where *is* that yellow crayon?

Would Sam still be cute if she was fat? Yep. And here's the proof.
Crossed fingersly,

[my father's world]

[one twenty nine] 1.23.11
 This is my Father's world.
O let me ne'er forget
that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let the earth be glad!

I love this. We sang it in church yesterday.  And I read Psalm 12 today. I love the contrast between the beginning and the end of this Psalm. The beginning is despondent, saying how humans are untrustworthy and not loyal. He then goes to say how the Lord is faithful, trustworthy, just, and loving. His words are pure.

Help, LORD, for no one is faithful anymore;
those who are loyal have vanished
from the human race.
Everyone lies to their neighbor;
   they flatter with their lips
   but harbor deception in their hearts.
 May the LORD silence all flattering lips
   and every boastful tongue—
those who say,
   “By our tongues we will prevail;
   our own lips will defend us—who is lord over us?”
 “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan,
   I will now arise,” says the LORD.
   “I will protect them from those who malign them.”
And the words of the LORD are flawless,
   like silver purified in a crucible,
   like gold refined seven times.
 You, LORD, will keep the needy safe
   and will protect us forever from the wicked,
who freely strut about
when what is vile is honored by the human race.

[one thirty] 1.24.11
Here's something for all y'all to watch. I think this is awesome for the deaf people. They are able for the first time to experience music! I can't even imagine living without music.
