[thanksgiving day]

Remember I said that there'd be a selfportrait with the new boots?
Well, I was wearing them in this picture.. that counts right? Yeah, maybe not.
Thanksgiving morning.

Thanksgiving Day was great, as usual :) We went to my Aunt and Uncle's house, so there were my dad's parents and two of his siblings and their families plus the nine of us. I was sooo thankful for the amazing weather God gave us that day!!! It was soo beautiful!

Thanksgiving weekend Sam and I went to KC for Alyssa's birthday (20 YEARS OLD! Whoa.) And yeah. That was amazing as always :) It makes me SO happy just being in our group. Seriously, it just floods over me.
I know I'm kinda just rambling... hey, it's my blog! ;)
Listen. Also. I'm learning this on the piano.

I'm really into music lately :) Just a warning, I might be posting lyrics randomly.. and often.. in the future.

Yep, no kidding.

AC made these for Thankgiving!! Isn't it adorable? The boy ones had little beards! They were adorable:) Of course, before I could take a picture Levi snitched one of the eyes off of mine, haha. So you'll just have to...imagine her with two eyes. Or envision her as a pirate turkey.

...I've always heard the phrase, "count your blessings." And.. to be honest, that never really worked for me. It was just kinda like counting sheep.
I've found that I prefer to pick one particular blessing, and really think about how wonderfully fantastic it is, worked into my life for a specific purpose, by the One who loves me most. It really boggles your mind when you think about it. Seriously.

While I'm writing about halfway serious things, this is something I've been thinking about recently: God's plans are.. so not our plans. Like, at all. And that is such a good thing. Cause His plans are.. so amazing. And ours kind of stink, haha.

I thought not.
I guess I'll have to nurse myself back to health and read poetry to aloud while treating myself abominably. 


P.S. I've decided that gurgling is pretty much the most hilarious sound ever.
P.P.S. I also found out that you can't gurgle with your mouth shut.
P.P.S.S And that I have a tendency to put *way* to much salt in the water. Heh.

It is so nice to see that list of people to email/write getting smaller.. what a sense of accomplishment. Of course.. I didn't exactly get a ton of school done today... but we don't talk about that.

Grandma's been canning pears for the past couple of weeks. I think she said she's put up ninety quarts? And she's not done yet!! I haven't helped a ton to speak of, just a bit. So this is all her, haha. But these jars and their contents are just beautiful. And yummy, haha.

Snow.. and actually not even the first of the season. We had one last week that actually covered the ground over night. Huge flakes. But since I was driving home in it, I didn't get any pictures of that one.

I'm pretty sure I got an epic pair of fuzzy warm boots. Maybe I should just say... I got an epic pair of fuzzy warm boots. Cause I did. They will most likely be showing up in a self portrait soon :)
