So. My first post. It feel strangely impractical, in disagreement and agreement with my blog name. I watched a BBC version of Sherlock Holmes tonight that I was actually pretty pleased with; imagine that! So that put me in a good mood, as did taking pictures this afternoon in the sun. Which is when I took this one: seventy one of my three sixty five project. Here's the link to my Flickr website where I keep my pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/shainabo/5210611436/
Herodotus is calling my reluctant name, and as I am hearing the call of my pillow as well, I have to give in to one of them. Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!
Shaina,
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome blog! I can certainly appreciate your comment about Herodotus! Last year, I likened his writings to burnt pie crust--dry, flaky, and bland. Hang in there!
Catherine
Thanks Catherine! Yes, I definitely feel the way you do about Herodotus! :P We haven't had first class yet, so I keep saying to myself, "Mr C will make it better... Mr. C will make it better!" ;)
ReplyDeleteShaina!!! I'm really looking forward to this, it looks really good. :-)
ReplyDeleteAs far as Herodotus goes, he's a little difficult at first, but really, he's pretty amazing, and Mr. C will make it better. :-)
K.. K... sorry, who's K? ;-) Thanks! I'm sure he will.. One thing I don't like about Herodotus is he's so disjointed. But there are parts that are very interesting, like the Bablyonion queen, and stuff like that. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm following you! My older sister told me about your blog. Here is mine if you want to see:

Thanks, Stella! (beautiful name, btw) Just curious, how did your sister find out about me?
ReplyDeleteShe takes GB1.
ReplyDeleteOh, ok! :)
ReplyDeleteHey now guys, don't say that about my Hero dotus. Hehe.
ReplyDeletehehe Samantha. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes Shaina, K is me. I seem to have a knack for forgeting sign my name, it's gotten me to some rather awkward moments. :-)
~Amy~
(P.S. I was about to post this, and realized I'd forgotten my name again..:-)
Oooh! I have those earrings. :) Love all your pictures Shaina! Staing my own blog, though it'll be mostly hymns and quotes...

By the way, if you're referring to the Sherlock series BBC just put out...
ReplyDeletestellar.
Oh, thanks! :) I'll definitely check your blog out! And, yes, yes, I am! The one w/ Bendedict Cummerbund or whatever his name is, he played William Pitt in Amazing Grace. It is amazing, isn't it? I saw two episodes. Can't wait to see more. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is totally great. The third one is just as good, can't wait to see next seasons. Did you know the guy who plays Watson (Martin Freeman) is going to play Bilbo in the Hobbit?! He's gonna be amazing.
ReplyDeleteAh, I thought I recognized him! I had seen a picture of him on the news saying he was playing Bilbo, but I didn't realize it was him until you said that! Yeah, he's a great actor.
